Day 2

Good Morning Fan!

This is the first thing I saw when I woke up.

Here are a few pictures of the dining room where we had breakfast.

Doesn't it look yummy?

This is our view from our Gallery, overlooking Esplanade.

All I can say here is cool water meter cover.

Some houses and sites on Esplanade.

Here is a convent. It was said that this is where vampires originated.

Holiday decorations in the French Quarter.

This was just a beautiful garden.

Yes these are still blooming. It is amazing the flowers they have here.

We went on a walking tour of some homes today. There were five homes in all with varying histories.

You are probably wondering why there is a bunch of broken glass on the fence. Well in the olden days in order to protect themselves, home owners would create protection devices like this one. This is similar to putting up a barbed wire fence, but a lot prettier.

The Lalaurie House - this is one of most famous haunted homes in New Orleans.
The lady of the home would own slaves, just so she could torture them.

Just had to put this up because I thought it was funny.

It looks like Jesus decided to make an appearance at St. Louis Cathedral.

We ate at the Gumbo Shop today. We had Gumbo and Crab Cakes, both were delicious.

This is St. Louis Cathedral in the day time.

We went caroling tonight in Jackson Square. Everyone was singing and carrying candles.

Canal Street decorated for Christmas.

Oh yeah! I almost forgot. My new boyfriend.

Well it's 11:30pm and I'm tired from a long day.
